John Deere

One of the best known farm equipment manufacturers and the largest in the world, Deere makes variable chamber belt balers from 4'x4' in size to 5'x6' in size.

New Holland

Well known for their haying equipment, New Holland has been in the baler business for decades. They make variable chamber balers with belts and rollers, as well as a more new series of fixed chamber round balers that feature chain and slat forming and low horsepower requirements.

Case IH

While once making their own unique round baler Case IH, being owned by the same company as New Holland, balers are now made in the same factory as New Holland and are the same other than paint and decals.


Having a good reputation in the haying business, Kuhn round balers have become popular in the last few years for their durability. Kuhn makes variable chamber balers that are considered premium machines.


One of the pioneers in the industry, Vermeer remains a strong competitor best known for their long lasting and dependable balers. Vermeer makes variable chamber balers that are considered some of the simplest and easiest to work on in the industry.

Massey Ferguson

AGCO makes a line of variable chamber round balers under the Massey Ferguson/ Hesston brand name. These balers have evolved from the original Hesston round balers that shared a decent percentage of the market place.


New to the hay equipment business, Kubota purchased the Kverneland brand of hay equipment, and now makes their round balers under the Kubota brand name. They have since unveiled a couple of new round balers for various consumers. They make a line of variable chamber balers.


Known as one of the heaviest duty balers in the bushiness, Class makes both variable chamber balers and fixed chamber balers consisting of an all roller design.


Known for their disc mowers, krone makes a lineup of fixed chamber round balers for small to mid-sized farms. Krone shares a small percentage of the U.S. marketplace.


McHale is well known in the haying industry for a quality product. McHale makes both variable chamber and fixed chamber balers. They are also known for their bale wrappers as well as their baler-wrapper combinations.
